The ‘Star Jasmine’ is one of my top evergreen climbers. Neat and not so vigorous that it becomes a nuisance, ideal for ‘carpeting’ walls. White jasmine scented flowers borne abundantly from late July till September. Old foliage turns red and orange during autumn and winter. Often written up as tender i find it perfectly hardy, though young plants benefit from some protection in their first winter and a west or south aspect suits it best. Flowers more freely produced in a sunny spot but it also performs well in light shade.
