Salvia x jamensis 'Hot Lips'
Reasonably hardy shrubby sage. Red and white flowers over a long period.
£7.50
Starts flowering in mid-summer with red flowers, by late July/August these have become bicoloured red and white and finally as the days shorten the flowers open pure white. Masses of flowers are open at any one time and they are a big draw for bees and hummingbird hawkmoths.
Aromatic leaves are an added attraction. This salvia likes a sunny site and preferably some protection from North or East winter winds. Cut back hard as growth recommences in the spring for best results.
