Magnolia grandiflora 'Kay Parris'
Glossy leaved evergreen with freely produced spicy-lemon scented white flowers.
£26.00
I was lucky enough to be one of the first to bring this selection into Europe and now in almost all circumstances i see little reason to plant any other form. The leaves are especially glossy with exceptional foxy-indumentum. The habit is very upright and as the species goes it is not a big plant so ideal for smaller gardens. Best of all it is so free flowering that even plants less than 1m tall will bloom and once its established it can bear flowers from May to November and unlike M. grandiflora ‘Little Gem’ its very hardy. Ideal as either a wall shrub or a free standing specimen. Flowers best in full sun but also performs well in shade.
