Dating from the late 1880′s this is an old cultivar. To quote from ‘Snowdrops’, ‘That Straffan has survived and prospered for so long is a testament to the fact that people want to grow it and it wants to grow for them!’. A late vigorous snowdrop that produces two flowering scapes per bulb once settled, thus lengthening its season. February-March.
