Good clumping snowdrop that thrives even on poor soils.

Despite some confusion over its origins this is a worthy snowdrop quickly forming good sized clumps. Large flowers over broad leaves. Adaptable to most soils but I find it can give up on damp heavy soils. One thing that endeared it to me was its ability to thrive on the poor gravelly acid soil of my former New Forest garden where even G. nivalis struggled. February.
