Small tree with superb crimson-pink autumn colour and large spindle-berries.

This species has been in cultivation for over 100 years but is still seen too infrequently in gardens. Forms a light canopy so is ideal for under-planting and suits any size of garden. Adapts to most soil types. Birds love the orange coated seeds but the fruits persist on the tree long after they have emptied them.
