If you’ve had trouble with Echinacea Art’s Pride don’t be put off, this one grows! Like all coneflowers it appreciates an open sunny site and does not like being crowded by larger herbaceous perennials. Combines very well with sea hollies. Drought tolerant except when planted in rooty soils when it may well need watering in dry weather. Attracts bees and butterflies but they prefer the pink or white selections. Red slightly scented flowers age tangerine if left but dead heading encourages repeat flowering. Late July – September.
