This beautiful species thrives in sunny locations and will readily multiply if planted into gravel-beds. Combines really well with Geranium sanguinem cultivars. Creamy white flowers are attractively netted in orange-brown. I find it tends to flower a couple of weeks earlier than the similar D. trojana. Just as popular with bees etc as our native species.
