Small evergreen shrub, usually less than 1m, introduced from China by E. Wilson in the early 1900′s. Deep, rose-purple fragrant flowers from late March through April with a repeat display at summer’s end. Best planted in a sunny spot or in very light shade. Makes a good subject for container planting.
