Very hardy late flowering daphne similar to D. Gurkha.

In the garden at Heale House is a grafted Daphne bholua labeled ‘Gurkha’. The flowers are very similar to that cultivar, but some doubt exists because it always retains some winter leaves which D. bholua ‘Gurkha’ should not do, especially after severe Winters. Grafted plants have also grown away more strongly than those of true ‘Gurkha’. None the less the chance remains that they are one in the same.
