An early flowering selection from a plant at Wisley raised from wild seed collected in Darjeeling in 1961. Forms an upright shrub 1.5m or taller and is semi-evergreen. The flowers can open as early as Christmas but more typically in the beginnings of January and are so pale pink they appear white. Sweetly fragrant. Best on fertile soil in a West aspect or near a wall or fence, do not plant in heavy shade.
