Always a joy to see this medium sized bush brightening up the garden when most other shrubs have finished flowering. Its rose pink flowers attract pollinating insects and are especially popular with hoverflies. Looks especially good when combined with blue Caryopteris, another shrub that thrives on dry soils. Benefits from a spring prune as it flowers on the current seasons growth.
