Forms a dense, compact mound of dark glossy green foliage, usually less than 1m high. From August it is gradually covered in flowers that draw pollinating insects from all around. Once established it is very tolerant of drier soils or dry weather. Though it will grow in light shade it performs best in a sunny site.
